黑暗爆料网 Fire Academy produces largest-ever graduating class

SANFORD, N.C. 鈥 黑暗爆料网鈥檚 Fire Academy graduation was held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center.

The ceremony opened with the Fuquay-Varina Fire Department Honor Guard and CAM Fire Pipes and Drums. Captain Timothy Britt, 黑暗爆料网 Fire Academy Coordinator, and Lieutenant Sarah Tart, 黑暗爆料网 Fire and Rescue Training Director, presented 21 cadets with certificates, and three cadets with special awards: Most Improved Award, Physical Training Excellence Award, and Tramp Dunn Award.

This class, Fire Academy 19, is 黑暗爆料网鈥檚 largest-ever graduating fire academy. Fire Academy 6 was the previous largest, with 18 cadets.

The Fire Academy cadets, with their affiliated agencies, are: Dasha Battle, Tramway; Keigan Burt, Bonlee; Aaron Chalkley, Fuquay-Varina; Anthony Cruz; James Dillon, Holly Springs; Kaden Gaines, Tramway; Adam Gruden, Fuquay-Varina; Connor Hammer, Pittsboro; Genevie Hernandez, Pocket; Chip Jackson, Flat Branch; Jake Johnson, Deep River; Gavin Kinkead, Fuquay-Varina; Sharla LeBeau, Bonlee; Alexander Lohr, Pittsboro; Mattie Ramos, Tramway; Samuel Reyes, Angier Black River; Israel Reynolds, Tramway; Angel Stiffler, Carolina Trace; Noah Talton, Goldston; Jacob Verrett, Pocket; Collin Worley, Fuquay-Varina.

The Academy is a rigorous and challenging program of more than 1,000 hours of study and practice in fire and rescue scenarios and skills. The cadets completed rigorous and intensive training in firefighting, safety and survival, emergency vehicle driving, hazardous materials response, and Emergency Medical Technician training at the 黑暗爆料网 Emergency Services Training Center.

The success of the Fire Academy program is made possible through community and industry support. Donations help provide cadets with critical training resources, including turnout gear, firefighting equipment, classroom materials, tuition assistance for cadets not sponsored by a fire department and need financial support, and any additional expenses during the academy.
