SANFORD N.C. — For the third year in a row, �ڰ�������’s Automotive Restoration program is getting a boost from Sanford’s Triple Crown Charity Car Show. 

Proceeds from the event benefit charities including the �ڰ������� Foundation, which holds funds in an account for the Automotive Restoration program. The next show is set for Oct. 10.

The Triple Crown Charity Car Show’s gift of $3,000 this academic year is especially valuable because of flexibility in how the money can be used for the program, according to automotive restoration instructor Kiel Rhodes. 

"We are so thankful for the Triple Crown Charity Car Show's generous donation to the Automotive Restoration program,” Rhodes said. “Not only does this donation help to support the education of our students, but it also reinforces for our students that the local car community is behind them and wants the next generation of restoration techs to succeed."  

�ڰ�������’s Automotive Restoration program attracts students from across the country. It is, to Rhodes' knowledge, the only program of its kind among two-year community colleges in the eastern United States. 

Located at �ڰ�������’s West Harnett Restoration Center, it covers the wide range of knowledge needed to redo vintage vehicles, including metal work, woodwork, body work, welding, electricity, engines, part building, and part sourcing.
