ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's annual Excellence in Advising award
Excellence in Advising Award Recipient Tammy Kirkman
Basic Law Enforcement Training Assistant Director Tammy Kirkman is this year’s recipient of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s Excellence in Advising Award. Kirkman lives in Goldston, in Chatham County, and works at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s Emergency Services Training Center in Sanford. She is known for the individualized guidance and diligent mentorship she provides as she works to answer prospective students' questions and to help them complete requirements for enrollment in BLET. She also administers students’ unit tests, managing the high-stress environment with a firm-yet-encouraging presence. Kirkman accepted the Excellence in Advising award at the college’s annual employee convocation at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center on Aug. 28.
