• Must be at least 18 years old (Intrastate, only drive within the state of North Carolina. Must be 21years old for interstate driving.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English as CDL tests are administered in English (refer to the )
• Must have a by the course start date, but not more than three months. An uncertified complete history is acceptable and may be obtained in person at 4121 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, NC, via mail, or online. Also, any of these violations within two years of the course start date will prohibit registration: Driving while impaired (DWI), Careless and reckless driving, Hit and run, Refusal to take chemical test.
• Tuition is $1,307.00 and includes DOT physical, and DOT drug and alcohol screen. Does not include textbooks.

Significant scholarship opportunities are available for CDL classes. We highly encourage you to fill out the  to inquire about scholarships, before or after registering and paying. Scholarships can be granted as refunds or approved prior to registration. 

• Students must pass DOT physical and drug screens, which are scheduled post-registration. Random drug tests may occur during the course.
• Students must have a valid “Class A” Commercial Learner Permit by the beginning of class.

The following documents are required at orientation:

1. Valid driver's license.
2. CDL Class A Learner's Permit. To obtain your permit. Download the manual, North Carolina Commercial Driver License Handbook. Study sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. Go to the DMV and test on General Knowledge, Combination Vehicles and Air Brake. Must have by the 1st  day of class
3. Driver Record (uncertified copy). You can obtain an uncertified copy from the DMV or online.
4. DOT physical examination - must be valid for the length of the class.
5. DOT Drug Screen - Instructions to complete this will be given to you on the day of Orientation.
6. After you have your permit - register with .  Select "�ڰ�������" as C/TPA (consortium/third-party administrator) and then , and print a copy of the query.

All CDL classes at �ڰ������� are Continuing Education Courses. To enroll online and secure your spot, complete the following steps after visiting the :

1. Type “CDL” into the box labeled “Search for Sections” or the box labeled “Course Code Number” and hit search.
2. If you see an upcoming session you would like to join, click the “select” button for that course, review the information, then click “add section.”
3. Click the blue “checkout” button in the upper right of your screen, and follow the steps shown to register and pay.
4. Former �ڰ������� students whose contact information has changed since they last took a course should email cesupport@cccc.edu and provide their new contact information.
