Pipeline to North Carolina Colleges and Universities
Agreements with North Carolina’s public and independent colleges and universities allow students to begin making an academic transfer plan for specific programs and institutions.

Programs are designed to fulfill the requirements of our specific transfer partners for students who meet the academic standards required for admissions.
New Pathways in Education
Associate in Arts - Teaching Preparation and Associate in Science - Teaching Preparation are transfer programs that transfer to specific institutions for undergraduate degrees in education.
Programs and Partner Institutions
University of North Carolina campuses and ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø are part of for college transfer courses, degrees, and policies accepted by all 58 community colleges and all 16 UNC colleges and universities, including:
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students completing transfer courses have the option to transfer to one of the following independent schools through the.
This program assures admission to Appalachian State’s Veterinary Technology program for graduates of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s (ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø) Veterinary Medical Technology program.
Students currently enrolled at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø are allowed an early admission option and an assured entry pathway to Campbell University upon graduation, with access to Campbell faculty and staff who will facilitate their transition.
Students will also receive admission, financial aid, and orientation communications early in the transition process to ensure success at both institutions.
Guaranteed admission to ECU for students who complete their Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Engineering degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
(Note - admission to certain degree programs is a department decision.)
Transfer students currently enrolled at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø are assured an entry pathway to Methodist University. Students have the opportunity to take eight credit hours at Methodist for community college prices. Participants in the program will receive access to scholarships, Methodist facilities and events, and specialized advising.
The Aggie Plus Program is a co-admissions program designed to provide prospective transfer students a seamless transition to N.C. A&T from their local NC community college.
The C3 program is intended for:
- High-achieving community college students from low-to-moderate-income backgrounds
- Who have taken less than 30 hours at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø (including current credits), and
- Plan to transfer to North Carolina State University after completing their Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree
C-STEP guarantees ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students' ability to transfer to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill's College of Arts and Sciences as long as participants:
- Maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø,
- Actively participate in the program, AND
- Complete either an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø
Qualified students will receive:
- Assistance from a UNCW Transfer Success Coordinator
- Waived application fee
- Priority consideration for merit scholarships
- Personalized communication about the transfer process, and
- Access to campus events tailored for PathWays students.
